This glass coaster has a goldfinch design, taken from one of my original coloured pencil drawings. Each coaster is 10cm square and made of glass.
I’m inspired by British wildlife, particularly animals and birds that I see here in South Wales. This goldfinch drawing was inspired the flocks of goldfinches we see in our garden. In the autumn they feed from the teasels and then move onto the bird feeders. They are special birds with their bright red heads and flashes of gold on the wings.
