I often walk along the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal and it’s always special when you see a grey heron. They are usually at the edge of the canal looking for fish, when they fly off their huge wingspan always takes me by surprise.

Until a drew this heron I hadn’t realised just how many different colours there are on their beaks and feathers. It’s a drawing that I’m really proud of and I hope you like it as well.
